HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chairs weekly Cabinet meeting
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet expressed appreciation for HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's support of Team Bahrain's COVID-19 mitigation efforts and welcomed HE Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization, who opened a WHO regional office in Bahrain while on an official visit.
On regional affairs, the Cabinet congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the successful organisation of the Hajj season despite the challenges of COVID-19. The Cabinet also followed up with the latest developments in the Republic of Tunisia, while wishing them greater prosperity and stability, before condemning the terrorist attack that targeted a market in the Republic of Iraq.

The following memorandums were approved:
1. A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs concerning a draft law approving accession to an agreement on the immunities and privileges of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
2. A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs concerning financial donations collected by the Sunni and Ja'fari Endowments Councils for religious purposes.
3. A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs and Fiscal Balance concerning regulations for the accession to regional and international organisations along with membership renewal.
4. A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects concerning the prospects of real estate development projects.
5. A memorandum by HE the Minister of Interior concerning the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the General Department for Combatting Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security at the Ministry of Interior and the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
6. A memorandum by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs concerning the government's official response to nine proposals by the Council of Representatives.
