HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (25) of 2023
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (25) of 2023, on restructuring the Civil Defence Council, based on the proposal of the Minister of Interior, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the edict, the Civil Defence Council will be chaired by the Minister of Interior, and comprise the following members:
1- The Minister of Foreign Affairs
2- The Minister of Finance and National Economy
3- The Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs
4- The Minister of Oil and Environment.
5- The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications
6- The Minister of Works
7- The Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs
8- The Minister of Health
9- The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning
10- The Minister of Sustainable Development
11- The Minister of Information Affairs
12- The Minister of Industry and Commerce
13- The Chief of Public Security
14- The Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior (Rapporteur of the Council).
The Minister of Interior shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect upon its issuance, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
