Twelve concepts qualify for the final stage of Fikra

A total of 12 concepts have qualified for the sixth edition of the Government Innovation Competition (Fikra).


In the last two days, 40 innovative concepts were rigorously evaluated as participants presented their ideas to four committees comprised of experts and specialists. Each team had three minutes to pitch their proposal to their respective committee.


The committees then convened and selected twelve concepts for the final stage of the Fikra competition. The selected concepts were:


1.  Aman, by Major Engineer Dr.Musab Ali Alkhaldi, Captain Engineer Aysha Salah Alyasi , Captain Engineer Abdulrahman Abdulla AlKhaja, Captain Engineer Haya Nabeel Almahmeed, from the Ministry of Interior.


2. The Friendly Family by Lulwa Isa AlMehri, from the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA).


3. The National Program for the Rehabilitation of Autism (Taif), by Muhannad sulaiman Alnoaimi‎ ‏from the Ministry of Information and Dr. Sofia Ahmed Hashim, from the Bahrain Teachers College (BTC).


4. “Hayat plus” Application, by Major Hamad Subah Al Swar and Major Salem Subah Al Swar, from the Ministry of Interior.


5. Stars by Mooza Ebrahim Al Hadi, from the University of Bahrain.


6. "Taqyeemk" Mandatory Yearly Cybersecurity Assesments by Jassim Isa AlObaidly, Khalid Mohammed Saif, and Khalifa Noaman Alhassan,from the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).


7. National Points System (Kafu) by Manar Ahmed Thani, from the Prime Minister’s Office.


8. E-Vaccine by Aysha Qamar Buali, from the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs.


9. Play to Learn by Nayla Mohamed AlKaabi, from the Education & Training Quality Authority.


10. Updating Periodic Child Examination Services, by Dr Nuha Jamal Alzayani, from the University of Bahrain.


11.  Bahrain Virtual School by Shaikha Ebrahim AlBuainain, from the Ministry of Sustainable Development.


12. “Fareed” Educational Platform by Yaqoob Khalid Al Qassab, from the National Space Science (NSSA).


In the final stage of the competition, the qualifying teams will present their concept to a jury comprising of ministers, who will select the most successful idea and announce the winner of the "Public Vote".


Fikra aims to foster creativity and government innovation in the public sector, supporting the Kingdom’s overall development. By enhancing government workstreams and improving the quality and efficiency of government services, Fikra strives to meet the aspirations of citizens and residents.
