The Prime Minister’s Office organises a sports event on the occasion of Bahrain Sports Day
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) today organised a sports event to commemorate Bahrain Sports Day, bringing together its employees to celebrate health and wellbeing.
Hamad Yaqoob Al Mahmeed, the Director General of the PMO, affirmed that Bahrain’s national successes and accomplishments in the sports sector are a result of the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister
Al Mahmeed underscored the role of sports in enhancing public health and emphasised the need to support initiatives that encourage an active lifestyle, contributing to a health conscious community.
Al Mahmeed also noted that Bahrain Sports Day plays a key role in raising social awareness about the importance of physical activity for overall health and well-being.
The Director General of the PMO commended the participation of PMO members.
Al Mahmeed further outlined that the sports sector continues to achieve international successes, thanks to the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee. Their leadership and vision have played a key role in driving the Kingdom’s accomplishments across various sports disciplines.
