HRH the Deputy King chairs the weekly Cabinet Meeting
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

The Cabinet congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain on the anniversary of the National Action Charter, commending the achievements made across various fields, inspired by the principles of the Charter.

The Cabinet discussed the ongoing preparations and arrangements for hosting the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference under the patronage of His Majesty the King. The Cabinet commended the efforts of the concerned parties and committees in ensuring the conference's successful organisation and realisation.

The Deputy King directed to double financial support for eligible individuals receiving social security and disability allowances in observance of the holy month of Ramadan. His Royal Highness directed the Ministry of Social Development to distribute financial support prior to Ramadan to guarantee adequate living standards for citizens, particularly those in low-income groups.

The Cabinet directed ministries and government agencies to continue advancing digital transformation projects aimed at enhancing and optimising services for citizens and residents. In this regard, the Cabinet commended the launch of the “My Gov” application, expressing gratitude to the Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication, chaired by the Minister of Interior, for their efforts in this initiative.

The Cabinet then discussed several memorandums during the meeting, approving the following:
1.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Development and Infrastructure Projects on developing procedures supporting investment efforts in the real estate sector in Bahrain.
2.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on a draft resolution amending the executive regulations of the Civil Service Law.
3.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on a MoU between the Customs Affairs at the Ministry of Interior and the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency of the Italian Republic for mutual cooperation in customs matters.
4.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the cooperation programme under the framework of the MoU between Bahrain’s Ministry of Health and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health.
5.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments on the launch of an electronic service for private notaries to facilitate real estate sale procedures, through electronic integration between relevant government agencies.
6.⁠ ⁠A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the government's response to 3 proposals submitted by the Council of Representatives and a proposed law submitted by the Shura Council.

The Cabinet reviewed the following:
1. A memorandum submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the tasks undertaken by the National Committee responsible for coordinating and following up on the implementation of initiatives presented by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 33rd Arab Summit.

In addition, the Cabinet noted the following ministerial reports:
1.⁠ ⁠Outcomes of the visit made by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
2.⁠ ⁠Outcomes of the official visit of the Minister of Works to the United Arab Emirates to meet with counterparts in implementation of a Cabinet decision.
3.⁠ ⁠Outcomes of the Kingdom’s participation in the ministerial meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Food Safety at the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
4.⁠ ⁠The prominent events of Manama, the Arab Media Capital 2024.
5.⁠ ⁠Outcomes of the Kingdom’s participation in the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Integrated Industrial Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development.
6.⁠ ⁠Outcomes of Bahrain’s schools’ participation in the TIMSS 2023.
