HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (6) of 2023
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (6) of 2023, restructuring the Advisory Committee of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) at the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), based on the proposal of the Chairman of BQA Board of Directors.
According to the edict, NQF Advisory Committee shall be chaired by BQA Chief Executive Officer, and comprise the following members:
1. Shaikh Muadh bin Duaij Al Khalifa, representing the Civil Service Bureau
2. Dr. Sameer Otoom, representing private universities
3. Dr. Mohammed Abdulla Baqer, representing public universities
4. Dr. Samah Mohammed Al-Ajjawi, representing the Ministry of Education
5. Dr. Amina Mohammed Buallay, representing the Higher Education Council
6. Ahmed Jaafar Moftah, representing the Ministry of Labour
7. Ahmed Abdulla Abdulrahim, representing the private sector
8. Professor Nawaf Mohammed Al-Jishi, representing private institutes.
The Edict stipulates that the first five members will serve for a four-year term, while the others will serve for three years.
BQA Board of Directors Chairman shall implement the provisions of this edict, which comes into force immediately, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
